Vintage World — but why ‘vintage’ exactly?
„The word ‘vintage’ in our name called Vintage World refers to the qualities of bygone eras: the time-worn yet still special, stylish, and valuable objects. When choosing the name “Vintage World,” it was not only meant to signify the preservation of old values and recycling but also represented a certain way of life: to transport the values of the past into the present and preserve the memories of decades.
For us, the Vintage World brand has always been about preserving important values and uniqueness. My husband and I embarked on a journey to rescue our abandoned, old family furniture from the depths of oblivion. Initially, we used the furniture we refurbished to furnish our small floral café, which has since grown into Debrecen’s number one brunch destination, attracting thousands of visitors.
It is still important to us to preserve the memories of the past and bring joy to those who appreciate uniqueness and the values of bygone eras. Although the ambiance of our café has undergone significant changes in recent years, and we have replaced some of our vintage-style furniture with a more modern atmosphere, our philosophy remains unchanged: without knowledge and preservation of the values of the past, it is challenging to create our present-day identity and value system.
Vintage World — floral brunch place in Debrecen
Our once small floral café that opened on Arany János Street has now transformed into:
– a unique and delightful gift shop, offering a wide range of surprises,
– a stunning flower boutique, showcasing exquisite arrangements, and
– one of Debrecen’s most beloved brunch destinations, where our kitchen serves delicious meals until 6 PM.
In our breakfast establishment, we are constantly innovating and finding inspiration. When creating our culinary specialties, we combine ideas and recipes brought from abroad with our own experiences and local recipes to bring the most delightful flavors to Debrecen. We offer hearty dishes that are perfect for lunch and early dinners, providing a wonderful dining experience.
Vintage World — our infinity rose boxes
Our international travels and the countless experiences we gathered around the world are not only reflected in the ever-evolving menu of our floral breakfast establishment but also come to life in our enchanting collection known as Vintage World Roses. These stunning pieces are inspired by the most beautiful places in the world and serve as lifelong surprises, capturing the essence of our global adventures.
The establishment of our online store predates the development of our floral breakfast establishment. Even before the conceptualization of the store and the renovation of old furniture, we were driven by the desire to create timeless value. Just as vintage furniture preserves the memories of bygone eras, our everlasting preserved roses serve as symbols of eternal love and genuine affection. The enchantment of our hand-painted rose boxes has captured people’s hearts for a decade now. But why, you may ask? Because these infinity rose boxes has a soul and spirit!
We also adore fresh flowers, but it breaks our hearts to see even the most beautiful bouquets end up in the trash within a few days, preventing us from reminiscing about who gave them to us and why. Our preserved rose boxes continue to bloom for years, creating an eternal memory of life’s most significant moments. Whether it’s a birthday, name day, Women’s Day, Valentine’s Day, graduation, or any other defining milestone in our lives, our preserved rose boxes serve as a lasting tribute.
Hello world, nice to meet you!
From the very beginning, it was a fantastic feeling to witness the joy our stunning rose compositions brought to others. We have always been delighted to see the pictures and videos you sent us, showcasing the beauty and happiness our creations have brought to your lives.
Of course, there were some who didn’t appreciate or value what we were doing, and over the years, we faced challenges and hurtful opinions. Moreover, many started to copy our work. However, the abundance of positive feedback reinforced our belief that what we do is indeed valuable, and it urged us to continue on the path we envisioned. Thus, in 2020, another significant milestone occurred in the journey of Vintage World roses: we applied for trademark protection for our products, and the miracle happened – our boxes were granted trademark protection throughout the entire European Union.
By 2021, we were able to secure protection for our preserved rose boxes in both Russia and the United States, thus obtaining official approval worldwide that these marvelous rose boxes were conceived and popularized by us in this particular form.
Today, Vintage World (including the floral breakfast establishment, the online store, and the preserved rose boxes sold in the international market through our international webshop) is a brand within the diverse portfolio of the SOHO business group, which my husband and I co-manage. The SOHO business group encompasses various ventures, such as Zabbancs Breakfast, Stelázsi Delicatessen, Soma Market, Le’nore Apartments, and Lilaakác Guesthouse Event Venue. Each of these endeavors presents exciting challenges that we wholeheartedly embrace and manage with passion and dedication, despite the difficulties that may arise.
